Patan
This sister capital is an ancient city also knows
as Lalitpur and is situated on the Southern bank
of the river Bagmati and is 5 KM Southeast of
Kathmandu. this city is full of Hindu temples

deities and wonderful carvings. It is also knows
as the city of arts. On the way one can also see
the Tibetan refugee camp and the Handicraft center.

Bhaktapur [Bhadgaon]
The urban city of Bhaktapur from the medieval
period also known as Bhadgaon has an area of 4
sq. miles in a conch-shell shape. Bhaktapur also
means the city of devotes. Pottery and weaving
are the traditional occupations and lies about
14 KMs east of Kathmandu. "Durbar Square,
The National Art Gallery, Nyatapola Temple, Bhirabnath
Temple, Dattatraya Temple, Surya Vinayak, Changu

Kathmandu
City & Swayambhunath Stupa
Half-day sight seeing of Kathmandu city including
Kasthamandap Temple built in 12th century out
of one single tree is the main central landmark
of Kathmandu city. The name of the city-Kathmandu
itself has been originated from this temple. Hanuman
Dhoka, Durbar Square is the ancient royal citadel.
Akash Bhairab well knows Buddhist Shrine which
is more than 2500 years old and many more chaitya
temples and monasteries around are main interesting

Bhaktapur-City, Pashupatnith
Temple
Bhaktapur also knows, as Bhadgaon is a city of
Devotees, one of the old city, once a kingdom
among the three cities in the Kathmandu valley
ruled by separate King during Malla dynasty.
The sight-seeing includes Golden Gate, 55 Window
palace, Lion gate, Images of Durga and Bhairab
and Nayatapola Temple, Pottery center, Famous
Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath at the bank of sacred
River Bagmati where dead are cremated and Boudnath

and is constructed during Lichhavi dynasty.
Pashupati Temple & Budhanath Stupa
The temple of Pashupatinath is situated
on the bank of river Bagmati. It is holiest of
all shrines in Nepal. It lies about 5 KM east
of city center. Boudhanath stupa, a world heritage
site is also known as Khasti. It is largest stupa
in the valley presenting most fascinating specimens
of stupa design. It was constructed by Lichhavi
dynasty.
Patan City, Tibetan Refugee Center and
Craft Center
Patan is also called Lalitpur city of fine arts.
Walking through the Durbar Square of Patan gives
a feeling of walking in the open-air museum. This

Nagarkot for Sunrise
Nagarkot is a prominent place for Sun Rise trip.

33 KM east of Kathmandu. From the vantage point
of Nagarkot one can see the long range of Himalayas
including the peak of the world famous MT. EVEREST
which is 29028 ft.(8848mt) tall above the sea
level. Nagarkot can be enjoyed for full day trip
for trekking & stretching to fitness in the
natural environment. Besides there are some hotels
to stay overnights if you wish.
Dhulikhel for Sunrise & sunset
The place Dhulikhel is quite interesting for both
sunrise and sunset. It is 30 KM away from Kathmandu
on the East on the way Chinese border. One has
to walk about one K.M. up the hill to reach the
vantage point to view the clear view of the valley
as well as sunrise over the massive Himalayan
range from Karyolung in the east to Himalchuli
in the west.
Kakani for Sunset
A trip to Kakani provides rewarding scenic view
of mountain grandeur in one direction and the
magnificent view of the valley on the other. Kakani
is 30 KM north west of the Kathmandu valley. It
is situated at the height of 6500 ft (approximately
2000 mt) above sea level and is very popular resort
for sunset. From here Ganesh Himal range can be
seen quite prominently and other Himalayan range
that can be seen are Gaurishanker (7134 mt) Choba
Bhamare (6016 mt) Manaslu (8163 mt), Himalchuli
(7893 mt) and Annapurna (8091 mt).
Phulichoki and Godawari Botanical Garden
Phulchoki Hill standing at a height of 2700 mt
(9000 ft) is the highest vantage point on the
southeast side of Kathmandu on the calley rim.
Because of its altitude it provide 360-degree
view revealing the ancient lakebed of the Kathmandu
valley. From in the east, an impressive view visible
from nowhere lease in the Kathmandu valley. Phulchoki
Hill is 16 KM accessible to its top dark red.
Benith the Phulchoki Hill is the only Royal Botanical
Garden is a good picnic amidst a dense forest
and flowers.
Daman
Daman is situated 80 Km south west of Kathmandu
at an altitude of about 2400 Mt. (7900 ft). Daman
lies on the Tribhuvan Rajpath Highway, which connects
Kathmandu with Nepalese, border town Birgunj.
It is high popular for the 360 degree view of
the breath taking grandeur to eh world's highest
peaks extending from Dhaulagiri in the far west
to Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) in the far east. There
is a view lower lifted with long-range telescope.
Once can stretch legs walking up and down the
mountain through pones and Rhododendron and around
the settlement.
Chinese Border
Chinese border is 110 km. from Kathmandu city.
This trip is great excitement and provides very
interesting scenery of waterfall, Himalayan range.

the sunset as well from Dhulikhel.
Enchanting Mt. Everest roof of the World
